Upcoming Hollywood Movies 2020

After the release of many outstanding movies, Hollywood is giving us more this year and it is not too far away because these anticipated movies will be taking place this upcoming month, starting to entertain us from June and beyond. Here  is a list of some upcoming hollywood movies 2020:

1. Artemis Fowl

After many delays, the film got its initial release date, on August 9, 2019. The film finally got its final release and have been released recently on June 12, 2020, in the Disney Plus Streaming Platform. The film is directed by Kenneth Branagh and a screenplay written by Connor McPherson and Hamish McColl. The film is based on the 2001 novel of the same name and follows the adventures of Artemis Fowl II, a 12-year-old boy, an Irish Prodigy who teams up with his faithful servant, a dwarf and a fairy in an attempt to rescue his father, Artemis Fowl I. The film genre will be science fiction and adventure.

The film stars the talent of Ferdia Shaw, Lara McDonell, Josh Gad, Tamara Smart, Nonso Anozie, Colin Farell, and Judi Dench.

2. Gulabo Sitabo

Our favorite Bollywood’s versatile Actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Amitabh Bachchan are back with this pick acting as two warring men. Gulabo Sitabo is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language Comedy-drama film which is set in Lucknow. The film is directed by Shootjit Sircar. Due to the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, it will not make its way to the theatres instead it will be released in OTT platforms (streaming Platforms). It will be released on July 12.

3. Tenet

Ready for some mind puzzling flicks, Christopher Nolan has got our back with his upcoming movie Tenet which will release on July 15. It is an upcoming Spy-Thriller movie which will follow the story of a secret agent who is sent back in time to prevent World War III. The film is directed by the titular Christopher Nolan and stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kabadi, and Himesh Patel.

4. Mulan

Disney’s upcoming remake of Mulan will make its way on July 24 in the United States. The film got many backlashes and controversies which led it to be delayed. Earlier it was set to release on March 27. The film is the live-action-adoption of the 1998 animated film of the same name. The film stars Liu Yifei in the title role with Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee, Jason An, Gong Li, and Jet Li in supporting roles. The film will follow the adventures of the titular character Mulan. The film is directed by Niki Caro.

5. Wonder Woman 1984

After the release of the 2017 Box Office breaker at the time Wonder Woman. It felt like the DCEU(DC Extended Universe) has finally got the pace and space in the heart of the fans of DC. So the sequel was greenlit for the first Wonder Woman. Director Patty Jenkins is going to direct the sequel of the 2017 Wonder Woman again with Gal Gadot reprising her role as the titular heroine. It will also star Chris Pine, Kristen Wig, Robin Wright, Pedro Pascal, and Connie Nelson in supporting roles. The film is going to be set in 1984 during the time of the Cold War, the film will center around Diana as she faces her arch-nemesis Maxwell Lord and Cheetah. After some delays due to Covid-19, the film will release on August 14.

6. Bill & Ted Face the Music

After too much waiting, we will finally get to see Bill and Ted’s new adventure since the Bogus Journey. The film is directed by Dean Parisot and it will star Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter in the roles, Bill and Ted. The film will follow the duo in their next exploits in which they are warned by the visitors of the future that they have 78 minutes to create a song in order to save the world. The film will get its release on August 21.

7. The Conjuring 3

This long-running franchise will get its mainstream third entry which is called The Devil Made Me Do it. We all know that how this series scares us to our core so this is the exciting news for fans that Michael Chaves the director of The Curse of La Llorona is going to direct this film and it will star Vera Farmiga and Patrick Stewart reprising their roles as Ed and Lorrain Warren respectively. The film will follow the new case of the titular paranormal investigators. The film will be released on September 11.

8. The King’s Man

The King’s man is gonna finally reveal its origin in this upcoming period spy movie. The film is going to be a prequel in this British Spy Franchise of Kingsman. The film is directed by Matthew Vaughn and it will star Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Good, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, and Charlie Dance. The film will follow the origin story of the Spy organization of King’s man. The film will be released on 18 September.
